Ginger Palmer

I feel so lucky to be able to share something I love with people in my community. Yoga has become a passion of mine because of the major impact it has had on my life. I have certifications in Group Fitness and Yoga and am continuously learning and growing as an instructor and practitioner. Better health, pain-free movement, balance, flexibility and peace of mind are some of the many benefits that I enjoy and want to offer to as many people as possible. I look forward to every class and can’t help but love every person who walks in the door. I hope to meet you soon!

Shannon Schmidt

I am an Arizona native and have been an Anthem resident since 1999. I have been lucky enough to raise my daughter in this community. We love it here.

Yoga has been a part of my life for 10 years now. I started my practice in hot studios and enjoyed the mental and physical challenges. Fuego opened their doors in 2021 and it has been a pleasure practicing under wonderful teachers, different class types and in company with incredible yogis.

In 2023, I obtained my 200 hour certification through Fuego under Seth and Kaitlin. It is truly a gift to have a practice that allows continued growth, body awareness and improved health benefits.

I can’t wait to see you in class and share my passion for yoga with you.

Ryan

Wayne

Ryan began his yoga journey in 2010 to support his personal fitness pursuits. To deepen his practice, he obtained his 200 hour and began teaching at local gyms and studios. Later, he obtained his Pranayama 100 hour certification to further his understanding of the breath.

He teaches an all levels vinyasa class derived from the Ashtanga primary series, Slow Flow and Yin. His classes have an emphasis on breath and alignment, with music he performs or prepared playlist to enhance the experience.

For many years, Ryan competed and coached mountain biking and road cycling. He started and was the head coach of the Boulder Creek High School mountain bike team in Anthem. He also enjoys hiking with his dog, Jager, paddle boarding with friends, weight training and watching his children play and camping under the stars.

Cathy Chatawanich

I was introduced to yoga in 2011 after a lifetime of studying ballet. Yoga provided a wonderful contrast to my other physical pursuits, in that--as I gradually came to learn--the purpose and effect of each yoga class were to turn the focus inward and to calm the mind. I soon realized that this practice would become an important part of my life for the rest of my life.

It has also been a revelation to understand and embrace that how I engage with the poses offered in class is always my choice, to be made depending upon what is most beneficial for me and my body. I find it a beautiful thing to practice in a community where that mindset is supported and encouraged. I believe that mindset is key to being able to engage in a yoga practice at any age.

I completed a 200 hour certification with Seth and Kaitlin at Fuego in 2023. I enjoy teaching all levels of vinyasa classes. I aim to present a dynamic class, but I have great respect for moving slowly in order to fully explore range of motion and to fully utilize breath. I also love to use props of all kinds in my own practice and I like to encourage that in my class.

I look forward to practicing with you at my favorite studio!

Canaan Covington

Canaan is an Idaho native who spent years in California before moving to Arizona. He is grateful to have been introduced to yoga here in Anthem. He received his 200 hour certification through training with Seth and Kaitin at Fuego in 2023.

He has enjoyed teaching foundations, flow and yin classes, while continuing to broaden his understanding of yoga on and off the mat.
